Labour Minister Steve MacKinnon announced Friday that the federal government would expand the already existing employment insurance (EI) work-sharing program to include employers in the not-for-profit and charitable sectors and seasonal employees. He said the maximum length would be extended from 38 weeks to 76 weeks.
