Canada lists 7 transnational criminal organizations as terrorist entities

On Thursday, Public Safety Minister David McGuinty announced that the Government of Canada is listing seven transnational criminal organizations as terrorist entities under Canada’s Criminal Code. This is the latest measure from Ottawa to address illegal fentanyl trafficking and crack down on international criminal organizations, following pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump.
