White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump is taking “bold action” to protect America’s critical steel and aluminum industries with a 25 per cent tariff on steel and aluminum. “This administration believes these tariffs will protect our national security and put American workers first,” Leavitt said.
