Speaking after a call with other Canadian premiers and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston said he had urged the federal government to “immediately” approve the Energy East pipeline. Houston said U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to impose 25 per cent tariffs has provided the “urgency” Canada needs to strengthen our country through projects like Energy East.
