Ontario Premier Doug Ford said during a press conference on Monday that if 25 per cent tariffs under the incoming Trump administration in the U.S. hit Canadian goods, it could mean the provincial government needs to spend billions to stimulate the economy and a potential early election. “If it comes to it and we have to spend tens of billions of dollars, we go to the people — let the people decide, it’s their money,” Ford said.
