U.S. president-elect Donald Trump declined on Monday to rule out military or economic action as part of his avowed desire to have the U.S. acquire the Danish territory of Greenland. Trump said the U.S. needs Greenland for “economic security.” Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Tuesday only people of Greenland can determine the island’s future after Donald Trump Jr. arrived in Greenland. “Greenland is not for sale,” she said.
