Trudeau returns to work amid resignation calls

The prime minister paid his respects to a late former U.S. president and later attended a committee meeting focused on the tariff threat from the incoming U.S. president, but Justin Trudeau’s return to Ottawa only re-ignited calls for him to resign. A growing number of MPs want him to heed the calls to step down. But the prime minister isn’t revealing what he’ll do even as more rank-and-file members say it’s obvious. Trudeau did not speak publicly on Friday and has largely stayed out of view since the stunning resignation of former finance minister Chrystia Freeland. Global’s Touria Izri has the latest.
