It’s the worst aviation disaster to happen on South Korean soil — 179 people are dead after a passenger plane flying from Thailand skidded off the runway during landing and crashed into a wall, leading to a horrific explosion. The plane did not deploy its landing wheels and there is talk of a possible bird strike causing some sort of malfunction. Redmond Shannon reports.
