179 dead in South Korea’s worst aviation disaster

It’s the worst aviation disaster to happen on South Korean soil — 179 people are dead after a passenger plane flying from Thailand skidded off the runway during landing and crashed into a wall, leading to a horrific explosion. Only two people survived, both of them were crew members. Questions are now swirling as to what exactly happened. The plane did not deploy its landing wheels and there is talk of a possible bird strike causing some sort of malfunction. Redmond Shannon reports.
