Speaking during a radio interview on Saturday, World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus recounted his near-death experience on Thursday when an Israeli airstrike hit a Yemeni airport, where he was at the time. “I was not sure I could survive, because it was so close, a few meters from where we were. We didn’t know actually what would happen, but after four explosions, I think it stopped,” the WHO chief said.
