The day after Christmas, Boxing Day, is traditionally one where consumers go shopping for sought-after items at lower prices. Boxing Day shopping is also a social event. And in a month that saw a postal strike and the first of its kind “HST-GST holiday” on some items. And shoppers may continue to buy tax-discounted items into the middle of February.
