Seclusion rooms are used in some Alberta schools to help neurodivergent children when they are overstimulated and need a safe space to calm themselves, but they haven't always been used appropriately. Now, as one Edmonton-area parent is in a legal battle over how her son was treated, a report has come out with guidance on moving forward. Lisa MacGregor reports.
