Liberal Government House Leader Karina Gould rose during member statements in the House of Commons on Monday to table the Fall Economic Statement. Gould stated in French that she was tabling the budget before dropping the documents and exiting the chamber. Opposition House Leader Andrew Scheer said after the tabling that “at the very least” there should be “ten minutes for questions and comments.” He added that “she ran out before there could be any accountability or scrutiny.” Conservative MP Dan Albas called it a “drop off drive-by.”
