A new report from Statistics Canada suggests Canadians with disabilities face barriers to accessibility in public spaces. It’s based on a 2022 survey that shows among the 8 million Canadians with disabilities, age 15 and up, roughly 4.5 million (56 per cent) experienced one or more obstacles in public spaces at some point during the 12 months prior to the survey. One expert says he’s not surprised.
