Speaking in Ottawa on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland outlined the various industrial sectors and natural resources that Canada brings to its relationship with the U.S., but that “significant challenges” face the international stage. “The fact is: we are Canada’s government today,” Freeland said. “Our job as a government is to respond to those challenges — and we are.”
