Addressing President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming transition to power in the White House this January, Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly told reporters that Canada’s global influence is “increasing” as a result of the “impacts that the world is now facing with the new administration,” adding that other countries are seeking Canada’s expertise in working with Trump.
