NDP MP Leah Gazan and Indigenous groups urged the federal Liberal government to support Bill C-413 during a press conference in Ottawa on Thursday. “There’s a difference between free speech and inciting hate. Residential school denialism is inciting hate, full stop,” Gazan said. She added “We cannot reconcile if there’s still a denial of the truth.”
