Australian Sen. Lidia Thorpe on Monday accused Britain’s King Charles of committing genocide against the Australian Aboriginal people during a parliamentary reception for the monarch in Canberra. Thorpe, an Indigenous independent senator, strode up the aisle shouting that she did not accept his sovereignty.
