Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in Ottawa on Monday that the Five Eyes allies — in particular the U.S. — have witnessed a “similar pattern” from India in regards to “an attempted extrajudicial killing.” Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly added that there were differences between the Canadian and American situations, but that the shared similarity was that it was difficult to receive cooperation from the Indian government in both cases.
