Stabbing in downtown Peterborough sends 1 to Toronto hospital

Police are searching for a suspect in connection to Wednesday’s night’s stabbing in downtown Peterborough, Ont.
Just before 9 p.m. Peterborough Police Service officers were called to the area of George and Dalhousie streets for reports of a man with a knife striking a garbage can and light post.

On arrival they found a man collapsed in the intersection with a stab wound.

He was first taken to PRHC but then airlifted to a Toronto hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police searched the area but did not locate the lone suspect who is described as being a man in his mid 20s with long hair. He was last seen wearing a brown T-shirt and pants.
