Following the appointment of Mark Carney as the chair of a Liberal Party economic task force, Conservative MP Melissa Lantsman claimed during question period on Monday that Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland was being “shoved aside” and demoted by the Liberal Party. Freeland responded by saying she was “not going anywhere” and criticized the opposition party for being focused on “personal mudslinging.”
