Skyrocketing construction costs could delay new Vancouver Art Gallery

The Vancouver Art Gallery says the cost of the new facility at West Georgia and Cambie Streets has climbed from $400 million to an estimated $600 million. The increase is blamed on the same factors bedevilling other large-scale projects — increased costs for material and labour.
