Toronto swarming case: Teen seeks reduced sentence over strip searches during custody

A teen girl who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the alleged swarming death of a homeless man in Toronto is seeking to have her sentence reduced over strip searches while in custody. On Wednesday, a statement read in court said the girl — who was 13 years old at the time — was forced to strip naked on four occasions while in custody in Kingston, Ont., weeks after the arrest.
