Canadian company unearths 2nd-largest diamond ever at Botswana mine

The second-largest diamond ever to be unearthed, coming in at a whopping 2,492 carats, was dug out of a mine in Botswana by a Canadian company. According to Vancouver-based Lucara Diamond Corp., the rock was detected and recovered using X-ray technology.
