Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources Jonathan Wilkinson relayed on Monday that Alberta and B.C. were forecasted to see “well-above average” levels of wildfire activity for August. He added that parts of the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Saskatchewan were also anticipated to see the majority of wildfires this month, and that there are currently 474 active wildfires being responded to.
