‘Not a transgender case’: IOC doubles down on Algerian boxer’s controversial win

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) spokesperson Mark Adams made it very clear that Algerian boxer Iman Khelif, who won a controversial match the day before, was a woman and should be allowed to compete as such. “This is not a transgender case,” the IOC spokesperson said. “Scientifically this is not a man fighting a woman and I think we need to kind of get that out,” he added.
