Jasper Mayor Richard Ireland speaks about the coordination between all the different agencies working to fight the wildfire in Jasper National Park, and how the collective effort responded even as the unstoppable wildfire bore down on the town in western Alberta: “The pain that will be felt almost defies description, it’s beyond comprehension.” He also talked about the steps to begin rebuilding and how crews are working to restore utilities before reentry is allowed.
