Peterborough police are searching for a suspect following a robbery on Friday afternoon. Officers responded to a bank in the Chemong Road and Wolsely Street area. They allege the man entered the bank, threatening to burn it down and demanding money. The man was given cash before fleeing the scene. He's described as a tall and thin between 40 and 50 years old. During the incident he was wearing a white plaid shirt, black pants, a dark beanie with visor, sunglasses, medical mask, black shoes and white vinyl gloves. After the incident he was wearing a navy/black T-shirt, green cargo shorts, grey ball cap, black shoes with white soles and possibly a yellow and pink backpack Anyone with information is asked to contact Peterborough police or Crime Stoppers.
