Thousands of spectators lined a downtown Montreal street Saturday afternoon to witness the return of the Caribbean carnival parade one year after it was canceled. New organizers hope the festival and parade will eventually become the city’s biggest. And, one person was arrested after police deployed tear gas to disperse a crowd of pro-Palestinian protesters at McGill university in Friday evening.
