Speaking in Winnipeg, Man., on Thursday, Minister of Health Mark Holland said that he recognized Canadians’ frustrations following the stunning byelection defeat in the historically Liberal Toronto-St. Paul’s riding. “I think that people in St. Paul’s knew they weren’t changing a government. They were saying, ‘we’re upset at the world right now,” Holland said. “And I understand that. And that message is heard loud and clear.”
