Two wildfires burning near Ruidoso, N.M., killed at least one person and damaged an estimated 1,400 structures — including approximately 500 homes, according to reports. Melissa Fesmire and her son Christopher Bright have lived at least 14 years in Ruidoso, and they say the fires burning through the New Mexico village are like nothing they’ve seen before.
