Renters may face higher risk of death in extreme heat: study

A new study from Statistics Canada suggests renters in more populous cities face a higher risk of death during extreme heat. Researchers point to lack of access to resources like air conditioning and green space for shade may be among contributing factors. As Sean Previl reports, there’s more that can be done to ensure those in the rental market aren’t facing the brunt of heat waves.
