Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek said Wednesday that a pipe sourced from San Diego, Calif., has arrived after additional points of failure were identified following a catastrophic water main break on June 5, which led to the city’s water supply crisis. Gondek also addressed concerns that the pipe had come from the U.S. rather than being procured locally, saying that it would not have allowed the city to complete the repairs as quickly.
