This is BC: Passion project takes flight

A Vancouver Island man is going to great lengths to complete a childhood dream.  Ian Slater is painstakingly building a reconstruction of a Second World War fighter bomber. When it takes flight, Slater hopes it will honour the Canadian crews who risked their lives when they flew missions over occupied Europe. Jay Durant has his story on This is BC.
