A human-caused wildfire is on the doorstep of Fort Good Hope in the Northwest Territories after exploding in size from an abandoned campfire. Officials say the fire has grown to 200 hectares and now threatens the isolated community. Overseas, representatives from dozens of countries gathered in Switzerland to draft a roadmap toward peace in Ukraine. But with some major world leaders missing from the summit, there are questions about how quickly that peace can be achieved. Plus, Ukrainian-Canadians share their hopes for the future. Israel says its pausing military operations along a 12-kilometre route in southern Gaza, but aid agencies say the only real solution to end the suffering in Gaza is a permanent ceasefire. And, nine years after the Truth and Reconciliation Commissioned issued its final report, an Indigenous-led research organization says progress implementing its “Calls to Action” has been so slow it’s no longer worth tracking.
