Conservatives, including MP Jasraj Singh Hallan, demanded during question period on Monday that the Liberals allow the Parliamentary Budget Officer (PBO) to release a report on the cost of carbon pricing, accusing the government of putting a “gag order” on the report. In response, Climate Change Minister Steven Guilbeault said the federal government respects the work of the PBO.
