U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy spoke with Margaret Brennan on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday, discussing school shootings in the country. He said, “Our social media companies have a lot to answer for because these would-be killers whose brains are breaking, often find inspiration for the crime that they are contemplating online… You have to pass legislation, the courts can’t solve this problem of school shootings.” This comes as families of students involved in the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting recently brought forth a lawsuit against social media giant, Meta.
