Ontario’s lieutenant-governor was in the Peterborough area on Friday.
Edith Dumont started the day with a meeting with Peterborough Mayor Jeff Leal and County warden Bonnie Dlark before heading to Trent University to tour the student centre career space and athletics centre.
She rounded out the day with a meeting with the Chiefs of Curve Lake First Nation and Alderville First Nation, a tour of Lang Pioneer Village and a visit to École catholique Monseigneur-Jamot.
Dumont will also attend the grand opening of the new Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough on Saturday.
The visit is her third to an ontario municipality since her installation as lieutenant governor of ontario last november.
