Donning scarlet scarves, around 50 people took part in the 14th annual Red Pashmina Walk in Peterborough on Saturday afternoon.
The event was put on by the Peterborough chapter of Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan.
The organization raises money to help increase access to education for women and girls…
Access to education has become more difficult in Afghanistan since the Taliban took over in 2021.
A few thousand dollars are raised locally through the walk each year.
