Peterborough police are seeking a suspect following a fatal shooting in the city’s south end early Friday. The incident happened around 5 a.m. at Sunshine Homes, a group of buildings owned by the Peterborough Housing Corporation.
Police say they found a 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. An extensive search was launched, and two nearby schools were placed under a hold and secure until 11 a.m. Police early in the afternoon said the suspect and victim were known to each other. The suspect remains at large.
