Israel is blaming serious errors and breaches of procedures for the attack that killed seven humanitarian workers, including a dual Canadian-American citizen, in Gaza on Monday. The Israeli military has disciplined at least three officers for their roles in the strikes. Accusations are growing that Israel isn’t doing enough to protect civilians. The deaths of the seven World Central Kitchen workers have sent a chill through the humanitarian aid community. Many organizations are re-evaluating their plans and work in the region. In the U.S., the FBI, along with local law enforcement officials, is investigating a massive security breach at a money storage facility near Los Angeles, where thieves walked out with US$30 in cash. Over the Easter long-weekend, thieves broke into a building owned by GardaWorld – an international security firm. Plus, there are just three more sleeps until the much-anticipated solar eclipse.
