One of Canada’s top medical schools is changing its admissions process in the hopes of reducing systemic barriers facing low-income and diverse candidates who want to become doctors. The School of Medicine at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ont. says a lottery system is the key change coming into effect for next year’s admissions.
