At a press conference on Thursday, Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim spoke about Wednesday’s knife attack in the downtown core and the ongoing violence in the city. Sim says the VPD will not rest until dangerous offenders are off the street and public safety is improved. He also says more money is needed from the federal government to address the underlying mental health crisis.
