In tonight’s top story, a controversial monument in Oakville, Ont., dedicated to a division of Ukrainian soldiers who served in the Nazi’s infamous S.S. military unit during WWII has been taken down. Meanwhile, Federal Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre held a rally in Etobicoke on Sunday, challenging Canadians to fight against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s planned carbon tax increase. Additionally, winter continues to linger as snow and rain wreak havoc on both the west and east coast, as well as throughout Quebec, with forecasters warning of a high risk of avalanche on B.C.’s South Coast and heavy snow leaving many rural residents in the dark in Quebec.
