It had the potential to compromise patient safety — that’s how hospital staff describe a situation that involved not one, but two emergency codes issued almost simultaneously at Kelowna General Hospital last week. Now they’re calling on Interior Health to come up with an improved contingency plan so that patient care is not jeopardized. Klaudia Van Emmerik reports.
