Montreal’s premier comedy festival has cancelled all its performances this summer and has filed for bankruptcy protection. Just for Laughs is citing the effects of the pandemic and increasing costs as reasons to close the curtain on the festival. Organizers, however, are restructuring and hoping to make a comeback in 2025. Global’s Tim Sargeant reports.
