The mother of a young girl who was sexually abused shared her experiences at a Monday news conference in Ottawa, after Justice Minister Arif Virani tabled Bill C-63, the Online Harms Act. “The evolution of technology is her nemesis,” said the mother, who identified herself as ‘Jane’ to protect the identity of her child. “The unregulated Internet has damaged my child and countless children across the country.”
