Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced $175 million in funding to fast-track more than 5,200 new housing units in Edmonton over the next three years, as part of the federal Housing Accelerator program. “We also wanted to change the rules of the game so cities could build more housing right across their properties, right across the territory. That’s what the Housing Accelerator is all about,” Trudeau said.
