U.S. President Joe Biden said Saturday that funding for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is critical to American “security.” He added for the U.S. to walk away from its obligations to NATO would be “against the interest of the United States,” especially as the only time NATO’s Article 5 was used was after the 9-11 attacks.
