Business Matters: U.K. and Japan fall into recession
Description
February 15, 2024
There are now two G7 countries in a recession: the United Kingdom and Japan. Japan's unexpected economic contraction is deeper than predicted because of weak domestic consumption, and the contraction caused Japan to lose its position as the world's third largest economy, which is now Germany. In Business Matters for Thursday, Feb. 15, Anne Gaviola explains the ripple effect of this downturn gripping two of the most important economies in the world.
