Transit users scramble for alternatives with bus, SeaBus shutdown

The Metro Vancouver transit strike left thousands of people scrambling to find an alternate, often much more expensive, way to get around. Uber was particularly quick to raise rates. And as Aaron McArthur reports, Monday’s chaos sparked a debate on whether transit should be declared “an essential service”.
